Health for Honduras is a medical mission of First Presbyterian Church of Burlingame that supports the New Hope Clinic located in San Francisco, Municipality of Orica, Honduras. The Clinic was created to answer the acute medical and dental needs of the people in this rural municipality. Run by Dr. Cesar Davila, MD and MPH, the clinic serves 52 remote villages. Each year since 2007, the Health for Honduras’ teams of volunteers have traveled to Honduras to assist Dr. Davila in expanding the reach of the clinic, principally by conducting health fairs and triage in many of the dispersed villages. Our group also raises funds for clinic buildings, medical supplies and salaries, and scholarship funds for Health for Honduras volunteers.
